About Areej Usmani, MD

Dr. Usmani is a board-certified dermatologist with a specialized interest in complex medical dermatology and skin of color. An Ohio native, she earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) from Boston University before attending medical school at the University of Toledo, where she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Following her medical education, she completed an internship at the University of Cincinnati and residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she was recognized for exceptional patient care with the UAB Patient Experience Excellence Award.

Prior to her medical training, Dr. Usmani worked for the Boston Public Health Commission and the Ministry of Health in Zambia, gaining valuable experience in public health. In her personal life, she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and two children.
